A poor boy born in a remote village of Kerala....
He was not sure of getting food twice a day upto his age of 18.
He substituted 'Rice & Wheet' with 'Tapioca' (a groundnut available in Kerala) for several years.
He lived in a hut upto his age of 20, suffering the bite of mosquitoe / bedbug throughout the nights.
He had never used electric light / Tape recorder / fan etc. as long as he went to Mumbai and settled there.
He had only one shirt & one 'Dhoti' throughout the college life (no additional clothes)
He walked 4 KM daily for reaching his school & for college, 4 KM walking plus 25 KM bus journey, with Rs.1.20 in his pocket (exact bus fare). Sometimes he behaved like a thief in the bus for not having money to give the conductor.
He had never purchased fresh text book throughout the school life (in case of changed text book, he had never seen them!)
He submited a false Medical Certificate in the college for one month, as he could not attend the class for want of Rs.250/- being the total fees for the second year HSC (Govt. College).
He was given an umbrella free of cost by a Christian Lady (a shop owner), as she saw him going to College without umbrella in rainy season. But next day, his brother returned the umbrella to the Lady with thanks and asked him not to accept free things, as it would down the morale of the family.
AND HE TURN TO BE................................................................................................ME..
